How much should I tip my hair stylist for a $220 service?

I had mine done today, we highlighted & low lighted.

It was $95. I tipped $5 and two of my homemade sugar cookies. I’ve known my stylist for years and she always has our business, she was so excited about getting cookies. 😂 lots of people don’t tip stylists & tattoo artists at all where I live.

What’s usual for me is usually 10-15% I think is more than enough. So that would be $22 or $33

I would say it depends on whether they work for some place that gets all the money, or if they booth rent or whatever, so they are essentially self employed. If self employed or working for commission, I’d probably do $20, if working hourly for a salon, I’d go with 20%.
