Granny square not turning out?

This is what it’s supposed to look like:

And these are mine:

I have no idea what I’m doing wrong! The number of holes are messed up and it turns circular a lot of the time. Help please :(

Do another round and see how it looks then. The top picture is blocked. It’s really hard to get a square with just one round but as you build into the corners it should turn into a square!

Maybe you could try to pull it and make it square with your fingers. Do you have the right number of double crochets?

I cant really tell from the pics. Are you chaining 3 after the 3 double crochets?

I’m pretty sure to get it square you need to chain one before you start the next side.. hope that makes sense
