Hospital tour. Can you do paperwork Or it has to wait till you're in labor?

Depends on the hospital. My doctor told me to do it during one of my third trimester appointments. I can’t remember which one. They definitely want it before you’re in labor so there’s no delay when you get there in labor.

My hospital didn't allow a tour (which sucked because I got lost 8cm dilated in labour by myself). I got the paperwork from my midwife and brought it in during labor.

I preregistered online and then signed some paperwork after my doctors appointment. I just did it and I’m due April 19th. They said I wouldn’t have to do anymore paperwork when I go into labor. I thought it would be best just in case I go into labor early.

I think they prefer that you do so before. That’s usually when they check your insurance, etc.
