I think it's just a really bad picture and at 17 weeks they are still skinny and alien like so it's hard to tell.

I had a early gender scan at 25 weeks. The tech took it to 3D so we could see but warned us that when they are so little that either their skull will look like it has a hole in it or there nose isn't there. She said its nearly impossible to get a good 3D picture so early. So no worries momma!
