Diet/weight loss while breastfeeding
Hey guys!
So before I found out I was pregnant, I was doing keto. It worked like a charm and I lost a lot of weight! Even though I wasn’t where I wanted to be yet, weight-wise, I stopped after finding out I was pregnant because I wasn’t confident it was a good choice for the baby.
So far, this pregnancy has been great, weight-wise. I’m not on a particular diet, but i am gaining according to what my doc wants to see.
I definitely plan on breastfeeding when she is born, and I know that keto (being super-super low carb) is not good for helping your supply. I was wondering if anyone has found a particular “diet plan” or strategy that allowed them to continue on their weight loss journey after pregancy, while working out, and maintaining a great supply to exclusively breastfeed, as well. For example, I’ve considered Paleo, but unsure if that would have a similar effect on my supply that keto would.
