Any Navy spouses out there?

Hi everyone! 
I'm looking to see people's experiences with the Naval hospitals. I was pregnant last October and miscarried at 6 weeks. 
Just found out I'm pregnant again! My husband is currently on an underway. I had to tell him through e-mail :(. But he's really excited. He'll be home at the end of this month (hopefully) then he leaves again in November for a long deployment. :( If this baby sticks he won't be home for the birth. 
Anyone gone through this? Also is there something I can say or do to make the labs and doctors be more on top of my pregnancy? With my history you would think they would get me in for an actual appointment. But of course I have to do the 2 hour class before getting blood work done (not even a check up). Anyone have suggestions or had to go through a similar situation?

How easy is it to switch to standard? And how expensive is it for other visits? 
The guy I saw in the actual ob/gyn clinic was really nice. My pcm is kind of an ass. My ob/gyn person told me to come see him as soon as I get a positive. And I explained that to the appointment person and I have to do my two hour class. Dumb. 
If afraid that if the ob/gyn is anything like my pcm then I'll just be another number.

I'm navy and I HATE our hospitals and out shitty staff aka my pcm was a major douche bag. And if it wasn't for him being such an ass I wouldn't be pregnant right now... He told me I didnt have any fertility issues and I might just have high cholesterol... Don't know where he got that do I immediately called and switched from prime to standard. Within a week I had a real appt at a real OB who confirmed I do not ovulate... Put me on clomid and I was pregnant within the month. If your doctor makes you feel uncomfortable I would recommend switching to standard so you can deliver in a civilian hospital. I think out of pocket pay is like 13 dollars a night? Worth it to not be ducked around by those guys.

I'm an Army spouse - hoping your Navy hospitals are better! I had the WORST experience on post for my last pregnancy and am getting referred off post for this one!

I did not give birth to either of mine at an army hospital, but I did give birth while my husband was deployed. My suggestion would be document as much as you can! During your pregnancy and after. They have a thing called operation special delivery (I think. It's been awhile) where you can actually get a doula free of charge to be there with you walking you through the whole thing. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I am a navy spouse but we don't have Navy hospitals here. Husband will be away for almost my entire third trimester but cross fingers will be home for the birth.
