So there’s this girl that I really like and we’ve been best friends since we were 10. We like all the same stuff, we bond really easily and I’ll call her onion. So me and onion have been back forth for round a year now, and I’m not a big flirt but around onion I love to at least try. We flirt in texts,

But I don’t know what to do. Fast forward to my birthday, and I build up enough courage to ask onion if she identifies with anything (I’m bi, but demisexual towards girls) and she says “not really.” 😢 That would be enough to make me stop liking her, but oh no. Later me, onion and all of my friends were going on a walk and I asked her if we could hold hands to ‘stick together.’ I excepted her to say no, but she said it really happily and grabbed my hand. This girl, even though she’s just a year older than me, is MUCH taller. So there we are, me, this girl who at least comes up to her shoulder, and onion, and least a head taller than me. We actually hold hands for around twelve minutes. Our hands are getting all clammy, and she could of let go at any minute, but onion seemed to be enjoying holding my hand. So I’m just confused to what’s happening. Please help if you can, thank you.
