Baby aspirin a day?

So today at my doctor's visit he told me because of my advanced maternal age he wants me to start taking a baby aspirin daily to help me from devolping preeclampsia. Has anyone else been threw this? This is not my first advanced maternal age pregnancy but my first being told to do this. Just wanting others thoughts opinions and experiences. Thank you in advance and have a most glorious day.

I am currently 36 weeks,  and have been taking baby aspirin since the beginning.  This is my second pregnancy being  "advanced maternal age." My last pregnancy,  I did have preeclampsia.. So far, so good 🤞.

Yep, I’m on baby aspirin and also progesterone due to having previous miscarriages

I started taking while ttc. Have been taking thru this pregnancy. I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow. But I'll continue thru the whole pregnancy. I'm 39.and will be 40 at birth.

Yes, my midwife had me start taking it around the middle of the second trimester (I can’t remember when exactly) and stop at 35 weeks.

Yes, I also started aspirin right away after conceiving. I am 39 and have a history of high blood pressure. It didn’t work for me, I ended up delivering by emergency c section at 32.5 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. doc says that it got me this far, I’m blessed that we made it 32 weeks.

Yes, I did & am still (out of 5 pregnancies, *1st w/ daily aspirin,* we should now, finally have our first sweet baby in about 6wks). If they say to, it's for good reason 🙂

My doctor recommended for me due to my Raynaud's.  I'm 38.

My doctor said there’s no firm evidence stating this works, but if other people have had success, and it doesn’t hurt, why not I guess.
