Stripping membranes cause more painful labor?

I'm 39+2 and I have a drs appt on Wednesday to check my cervix. I was curious, if my midwife stripped my membranes, is the labor more painful or contractions worse compared to natural/non inducing labor?

No, it just helps your body along into labor if it’s ready to. If your body isn’t going to go into labor on it’s own soon then it won’t do anything for you. My dr says it’s a 50/50 chance and happens within 48 hours if it does work.

I got my membrane sweep last Friday. The only thing that has happen is me losing my mucus plug. My due date Is tomorrow🙄 and my son don’t seem he wants to come out.

I got stripped last Monday it didnt do anything but help me dialte from a 1.5 to 3cm. I went back to the dr yesterday and that when he said I was 3 and stripped me again. but yesterday it hurt worse than the first time. I'm hoping it works this time around. I have been getting contractions on and off but nothing regular. so ready for my little girl to come. goodluck!!!!!
