No name after birth?

I’m 38 weeks and we still haven’t decided on a name. will the hospital discharge you if you’re still without a name for the baby?

My friend just had her baby and they didn’t have a name until a week later! They went home without a name! Lol we called her spud, tator tot, and small fry the first week lol

You can in Missouri. My little cousin went home as Baby Boy Hamilton. My aunt filled out the birth certificate paperwork two weeks later and everything was fine.

The rules are going to be different depending on where you live. I’m in BC and we have 30 days to submit the paperwork for a birth certificate. I know several people that have left the hospital without naming their baby.

We weren’t allowed to leave without a name because the hospital had to issue documentation for his birth certificate but we live in the UAE my friend in the uk didn’t have a name for her son for just over a week 🤷‍♀️ ask the hospital you plan to deliver at
