Start pumping at 36 weeks **UPDATE**

Saw a lactation consultant today and she suggested I start pumping at 36 weeks. Which will be next Tuesday. That seems a little early to me. Speaking to my actual doctor about it tomorrow at my scheduled appointment about it. But was just curious as to what you ladies have been told. This is my second baby and I never was given this suggestion with my first.

My OBGYN said since it’s known to bring on labor to wait until 38 weeks at the earliest or not to at all. But if I want to she’d be okay with me trying at 38 weeks.
