Has anyone bought anything for their baby yet?

The other day I had an overwhelming sense of enormity about having a baby and also guilt because I have prepared nothing!
I’m 15w3days and I haven’t thought of any names I like, I haven’t bought anything for the baby. We have a Moses basket and some clothes that were given to us already but apart from that, my baby has nothing.
Feeling really guilty but I’m also just waiting for that 20 week anomaly scan too because I don’t want to ‘jinx’ anything.

We have the nursery done (decor and painting), some clothes, diaper bag, and some diapers and wipes. We’re waiting for our baby shower for most things though

I’ve been buying baby clothes because I know the gender of mine. I’m only 14 weeks and a few days. I’ll start making more major purchases after 20 weeks.

I haven’t bought anything and I don’t really plan to. It becomes kind of a waste of money imo when you begin buying things bc the are cute or impulse buys or bc someone tells you you need them. I’m kind of a minimalist so I’m not all about buying extra stuff that isn’t necessary. Possessions don’t prepare you for your baby. You need a safe place for baby to sleep and a few clothes to keep them warm and diapers... I think this is a good time to prepare yourself internally for the baby and motherhood though😊 don’t get caught up in this ‘what seems like a rush’ last few moths and buy your baby all the things. Sometimes buying things when you feel rushed makes you spend even more money.

We are waiting till we are around the 20 weeks Mark too! No rush to buy anything don't feel bad about it. I don't I'm saving money for when we have the next scan and then we can go shopping! ☺ xxx

I’m Jewish- we can’t by anything. Don’t feel guilty or bad. You have Months! And babies need so little other than you in those first few months. I have friends that have spent 1000s on stuff and then learned their babies hated it anyway. You’ll be ok

Don’t feel too guilty! I have had two miscarriages and even though I’m now 15 weeks, I haven’t actually bought anything. I’ve been spending more time getting our house ready - organizing, cleaning, making room for the stuff, etc. 
My girlfriend was the opposite with her first. She’s already admitted that she spent way too much on clothes and even though she has enough outfits to get her through the first year, her baby is growing so quickly that she’s not sure she’s timed out the seasons correctly. Hearing that made me feel better about not planning as much (and I’m a HUGE planner!).

I've bought 2 elephants. And that's it. We already had names picked out, before we got pregnant. But I'm waiting until I know a gender before I buy anything else. I dont like any of the unisex things I have seen.

I am about to be 15 weeks and have nothing. With my son I didn't start buying until 25 weeks and I had plenty of time. I'm not stressing over having stuff. I'll have a shower and get plenty of stuff.

No but only because it’s my second and idk gender yet. The day I find out, I’ll start buying 😄
