Mucus in stool/flu

Over the weekend I had the flu and now I have a lot of drainage down my throat and have to blow my nose a lot.. but I’ve noticed that since I’ve had the flu that I’m getting more mucus in my stool.. sometimes there’s not even stool... it will feel like I need to use the bathroom and then it’s just mucus... it’s usually clear or yellow in color.. I know it’s so gross. But I’m wondering if this is from the drainage of mucus in my sinuses? I’ve never really had this before. It’s driving my crazy. It’s probably been happening for 3ish days now. The flu did not cause me to have any diarrhea or anything. It was all just respiratory and sinus. Anyone relate to or experience this?
