How fast?

Question

How fast did you dilate? 
I know some women can sit at 1,2, even 3 cm dilated for awhile but I’m having contractions, have been for over a day, but not dilating. Cervix check today showed minimal minimal dilation but a very soft cervix. 
Any thoughts on how long until labor?

I sat at 2 centimeters for a week and then 3 for another couple days. I didnt feel much pain at that point other than pretty intense lightning crotch, I was expecting cramp like pain so it wasnt too bad. I woke up at 2 am the day he was born with contractions, went to the hospital, was at a 4, they sent me home! And I was back at 1 pm because my water broke. I was still at a 4 when we got back to the hospital but I went from a 4 to a 6 SOOO fast. They wouldn’t let me have the spinal. I got one dose of something, got to the hospital at 1 and he was born at 3:50. Would have been faster but I was TERRIFIED because I wanted the spinal and couldn’t have it and wasn’t pushing right.

Induced, broke my water at 2 cm, 4 hours later I was 5 cm, an hour and a half later I was 10 cm and pushing.

I went from 4 to 10 in 10 minutes with my second baby.

I was a 3.5 day induction. On the third day they broke my water at 0830, epidural at 1130. Still only a maybe 2 at 2:30. I was checked st 5:30 and I was 8 and she could feel his head. I delivered him at 6:35pm. I know that epidural was what let me rest and relax enough to dilate and have him naturally because they were literally prepping the OR for a C-Section

1st pregnancy I went into natural labor and it lasted for 17 hours, my water broke on it's own as well. 
2nd pregnancy I went my water broke at 4am and he was born at 4:30am lol

I went into labor at 2:45am. Had her at 8:39 am.
