Shared toddler room/nursery?

Any oct ‘17 mamas expecting again or had another baby? Hubby and I just found out we’re expecting again and our now 16 month old will be 23 months old when our new baby arrives and they will be sharing a room. I’d love to see some shared rooms for inspiration 😍
Emma is still in her crib and we *hope* to have her in a toddler bed by the time her new sibling arrives. (Any tips to make that a smooth transition are also appreciated because this girl loves her crib 😂)

Expecting again and my daughter will be sharing a room with future sibling after 6 months of baby sleeping my room . It’ll be a permanent thing is this baby is a girl . My daughter hates her crib so it’ll be an easy change over :) ! Good luck .

Same boat! Our daughter is just shy of 16 months and 2nd baby is due around labor day! Our daughter is still in her crib in our room- plan is to get her into her room in the coming months and the new baby to be in our room for the first year. I asked her pediatrician and he said to transition her to a toddler bed at around 2 years which would be almost 2 months after the baby is born. We have a bassinet but it has solid sides (no mesh or slats like a crib) and we only used it for about 3 weeks with our daughter because she would shimmy over towards the side in her sleep. Her doctor warned us that the first few weeks of her being in a toddler bed would consist of us basically camping outside her room and physically putting her back into bed every 10 minutes because kids don't stay in their bed. I dont know what would be worse: doing that when 9 months pregnant and exhausted or with a newborn who's up every 2 hours...

Congratulations sweetie , were expecting again due April 3rd with a BABYGIRL 💖💖💖💖 our son is 15minths old about to turn 16months on the 27th 🤗🤗🤗 he will stay in his nursery and we will have BABYGIRL with us in our room for the first few months. Then we will have them in separate rooms but for now when she arrives we need her with us lol I'm paranoid lol.

Yup, we’re expecting in September! We have a floor twin bed in his room now and I’ve been sleeping in it with him. Hopefully it will help him. We also tried taking the side of the crib down and put up a small rail. Maybe that’d help her slowly transition out of the crib
