Hi guys. Yesterday morning I was shaving and idk how but I cut my ankle very badly. Like, VERY badly. Some pictures are below. When it happened, I put some toilet paper on it to initially stop the bleeding or at least keep blood from getting everywhere. My mom and I put neosporin and a bandage on it and it worked. I changed the bandage again around noon and around 4. When I changed it at 4, I put cotton balls on it too cause the bandage was slightly too short. I also wrapped it in medical tape. Not my best move. I changed the bandage again this morning and the cotton stuck to the wound. I think some toilet paper might have too. I think I was able to pull most of it out but it hurt so badly I probably didn’t get it all. My mom though I might need stitches but idk. For those of y’all with personal or medical experience, what should I do? I literally have no idea and I would rather it not get infected.
