Progesterone help

Trying to make sense of this... help me please... I am 14 dpo and on progesterone suppositories since 3 dpo. Just did bloodwork for progesterone and it 9.59. Dr upped to 3x/day. I have bfn on hpt, they want me to do hcg bloodwork next week... what is sense of prolonging it? Is there even a chance?
