Did Sex induce labor?

Question

I’m 39 weeks on Sunday and 3-4 cm dilated. I have irregular contractions. Do you think sex will induce labor? Did it for you & if so how long did it take?

For me I feel like it did. It wasn’t intentional by all means. The first time I noticed something off (painful tightness on by belly) it was after sex or shortly after. I tried to take a bath and that didn’t stop the pain. I was about 30 ish weeks. We went into the hospital and they gave me something to stop the contractions. If it didn’t work I would have had my baby. 
Luckily it worked. The doctor said there is something in the semen that started the contractions. 
I feel that because of this incident, shortly after I lost my mucus plug and my water broke. I had my daughter at 36 weeks. No issues or problems. Just a tad early lol!

It hasnt for me 😭 I've been trying that,  bouncing on a ball and walking and nothing works getting induced Monday but wanted to do it on my own before then.

Nope. Nothing worked for me. Long walks, bouncing on a ball, squats, eating spicy stuff, drinking red raspberry leaf tea, etc. Dr did membrane sweep that didnt work the 1st time...she did it again at 39w6d and i went into labor that night.
