I'm 36wks 1day today and I've been having contractions a few nights this week. Yesterday I had them every 2 hours and they were pretty strong but they went away today. But then today my cervix has been hurting tons and when I went to wipe after peeing a few minutes ago, there was stringy snot like thick mucus. I didn't notice any blood or even pink tent so it's possible it was just discharge but it didn't look like any discharge I have had throughout this pregnancy. Just clear thick snotty like discharge. This is my second pregnancy but with my first I never experienced losing my mucus plug. At least not that I noticed. I delivered with my first pregnancy at 25 weeks and by time I got to the hospital I was already 4cm dilated with hardly no pain, couldn't even tell I was having contractions. I have a high pain tolerance. But these contractions I've been getting lately have almost knocked the breath out of me and I've been having sharp lower back pain on and off as well. Could it be my mucus plug?
