Are these contractions? FTM!

So I’ve had Braxton Hicks since 17 weeks and I’m 33 weeks now but I’ve had a constant achy pain in my lower back since yesterday morning. I’ve also had cramping in my lower stomach off and on that feels like my period is about to start but my tummy doesn’t get hard like it does with Braxton Hicks. Is this cramping contractions or just a part of pregnancy? I have no idea what they should feel like but I’m getting a little worried because my baby has already dropped😬

My tummy wasn’t tightening but I had period like cramps for 5 hours and went to L&D at 30 weeks and I was actually having contractions every 3 min and I didn’t know. They swabbed my cervix and it came back positive for preterm labor. I’m now on bed rest. Better to be safe than sorry

I'm 37+3 and earlier today I had an hour of near constant pain in and around my tailbone, and intermittent but not consistent in their time apart period like cramps low low down from my vagina up to my hips. I did a bowel movement as that can help Hicks stop, I drank fluids, but they kept happening and I couldn't talk through them. Eventually I took painkillers and they stopped. I just knew it wasn't actually labour but it was an unpleasant experience. If you're uncertain though, time the pains, write them down or use a contraction counting app and as you aren't yet term speak to the hospital or doctor. Preterm labour can sometimes be assisted medically to slow or stop.
