When to make a Drs appt?

I had a miscarriage in November and just found out I am pregnant again. My first pregnancy appt/ultrasound was 9/10 weeks - is it necessary to make an earlier appt because the first pregnancy ended in miscarriage?

After my miscarriage my doctor told me to call the day I got another positive test so we could start tracking my hCg. Got the positive test yesterday, so I called first thing this morning and I was in the lab by lunchtime. I’ll be back on Wednesday to make sure my numbers are doubling.

No need to be checked sooner. One loss does not make a second loss any higher chance.

I’m in Canada, not sure the policy etc but I’ll touch base with my midwife after the holiday. I’m trying to just be chill and end of the day I know even if I did have a sooner appt/ultrasound it’s not going to stop something if it’s meant to be. 
Just hoping my little one sticks this time around ☺️😭

My doctor did blood tests and early ultrasounds for me bc I had a chemical the cycle prior. It doesn’t hurt to ask.

I also had a miscarriage in November and found out I was pregnant in January. My doctor did levels testing when I called (one then one 48 hours later to make sure it doubled). We just had an 8wk ultrasound. They call it a “viability” appointment. Now I’m schedule for week 12. Don’t know if it helps but it made the waiting less excruciating 😭 praying for you.

I started ttc jan 1st 2018. Mc in April and Sept and the second pregnancy I was seen earlier and had alot more apts. Just found out I'm pregnant again and will be calling tommarow to check my levels but they will prolly check me alot to also cause I turned 35

No my 1st ended in MC and they don’t schedule anything sooner even to check my HCG. Very frustrating I’m in the US.

It depends on policy of each health care profession,
I am UK 🇬🇧 I only got referred to Early pregnancy unit because of 3 previous MC.
When I had only previously had one and because having a MC is more common than most people know it’s sort of put down as “one of them things” which it sucks, but that’s how they see it most people who have a MC will successfully carry full term, it’s only when it’s happened multiple times consecutively they will put you in for an earlier appointment. But again it may depend on location & Policies
