3 meals a day at 6 months old?!

My son wants to breastfeed every hour and sometimes less. Should I feed him another meal? We only do lunch and dinner. Fruits/veggies for lunch and 4 tablespoons of oatmeal for dinner. But I just feel like he wants to eat more? 
How much does your almost 7 month old eat a day?

According to my son's ped... If you're hoping to replace breastmilk with food, then the answer is no- babies get almost all of their nutrients from milk or formula so it's important they stay at 24-32oz each day on top of solids. "Food before one is just for fun" is not as accurate as it previously was (babies need iron) but the general idea is the same- babies still need the milk more than food. That being said, if you plan on keeping your nursing schedule pretty much the the same but add in a snack/meal, then you definitely can.

My 7 month old has 36-40 oz of formula in 24 hours . He has breakfast which is usually along the lines of oatmeal with fruit or Greek yogurt / regular yogurt . Lunch is veggies with eggs ( we change lunch up all the time ) and then dinner he has basically whatever we eat unless it’s to hard for him so like hard meats etc . My doctor is happy with how I’m feeding him. Every babe is so different and I have no idea how many oz he eats of food lol . :)

My daughter is 6 months old and has 3 meals a day and sometimes a snack before bed. 
Morning: 
3 tablespoons for cereal mixed in with 4 Oz of apples 
Lunch 6 Oz of veggies and fruit 
Dinner: 8 Oz of veggies and fruit 
And a snack either a baby mum mum or puffs 
and 4 Oz of water that she drinks throughout the day
She’s a big eater haha 
Breastfeeding still before naps and bed so about 4-5 times a day

I've just added lunch in and we are 30 wks today. He just stares and try to grab food.if we eat without feeding him too. He will ni2rse about every 3 or 4 hrs with the meals mixed in.

I breastfeed on demand but my little dude is eating quite a bit of solids. He usually eats 4-6oz of purée between breakfast and dinner. Then he has snacks throughout the day.. like frozen fresh fruits in his mesh holder (helps a lot with his teething), mum mums, and baby puffs.
