Port Wine Stain Birthmark

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these birthmarks and any thoughts/experience with treatment? We are debating on laser treatments. They say it can prevent growth, however there is not guarantee that it will ever grow and they cannot guarantee the laser treatment can even prevent it. This is how he was born and apart of who he is so we really almost think we should just leave it and let him decide when he gets older.
