Grunting Baby??

Question

Anyone else? My baby grunts and moans and squeaks 10 minutes after I lay her down asleep. She does this with her eyes closed and mostly asleep. It is keeping me from sleeping even though she doesn’t need me. If I pick her up she stops. What is causing this?? I’m going to have to transition her out of our room if I can’t make it stop.

I don't know what causes it but mine does the same. She is so loud!! Doesn't allow me to sleep bc I think she's gonna wake up any second! Sometimes she is silent but never at night lol. I hear it's normal!

My 6 week old does that. I've noticed that she spits up shortly after she starts grunting and squeaking. Reflux I suppose. I just pick her up for a few minutes when I hear her start.  Once I lay her back down she's good.

I just read about this in a Parenting Science article! It’s 100% normal. It’s called active sleep. You can just leave your LO be for a minute and you’ll usually notice it stops on its own. :) It still wakes me up, but now I wait and listen.

My does it as well but it is almost always followed by him passing what we affectionately call man farts. Its si loud you would think a grown man did it.

Gas. So much gas. We tried the windi and bicycle kicks before laying our little one down and saw a drastic decrease in the grunting. It was so so bad before and this has improved his ability to get to sleep without grunting as much.

My 3 weeks old does that too! Once I pick him up he stops. We suffer through it all night. A paci seems to help and sleeping on an incline. He also got diagnosed with reflux.

I have NO clue what causes it but my baby did it so bad I couldn’t sleep with her in the room. I mean I seriously could not sleep... I got ear plugs and a loud sound machine so I could only hear her if she really started crying. It worked sometimes then other times I was worried I couldn’t hear her if she needed me so I just suffered 😖 I never really got used to it but my baby stopped doing it around 6 weeks!
