Miscarriage?

I was appx 5 weeks and was due around July 6, 2015. ( Haven't been to the doctor yet because I had just took 5 at home pregnancy test from two different stores and they all said positive so I was trying to get my insurance in line before going to the doctor) But one day I woke up and was spotting and it started getting heavy.. So I went to the hospital the first thing they did was give me a pregnancy test and it was negative (which I thought was odd) then they came back to do blood work and told me that I never was pregnant. Well I went to my obgyn A few weeks later for a check up and to talk to him about it. So he told me that I prolly was pregnant but with me being so early on that the doctor at the ER probably just wanted to save me the heartache because there was nothing else they could have done. Since this I haven't been sure what to think? Ive cried and been down about it.. I just don't know forsure and I think that's what hurts the most.
