I came into the hospital at 9 am to be induced. Since I was gbs positive I had to first have an IV of antibiotics then about 10 they started me on pitocin. They upped it every 15-30 minutes. I got checked about 1pm and was only at 3 cm. Shortly after that I started to really feel the contractions so I got my epidural at about 3pm. Shortly after that I got my water broke and was 4 cm dilated. About an hour later I was checked again and was 5cm. I labored for 4 more hours and then was checked again and was still at a 5. At this point I got really emotional thinking I might not progress anymore and started crying. After my amazing husband calmed me down i was determined to keep trying so i labored for a couple more hours before I started feeling pressure, I was at an 8 then and shortly after that finally a 10. A few pushes later and my baby girl was born at 11:18 Feb 18. I had no tearing. She was 8lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long. Espin Journey Emerson!
