Breast engorgement a sign of labor?

This afternoon, I have rock solid breasts. I pressed on one, and colostrum squirted out from all the ducts!! 40 weeks.

I never had anything like that before having my son or daughter. It could be a sign of labor. If I were you I would pump (if you have your pump already) or hand express what you can. It will make you more comfortable seeing being engorged sucks. Bonus: some people swear by pumping to help start labor. And if you get enough to save it will give you something to give baby if needed after birth. I know with both of my babies I would have loved to have a little expressed colostrum to give baby while waiting on my milk to come in. I didn't make much with either of my kids and it was tough having them crying and feeding constantly because there wasn't enough there. So yeah. If I ever have a third and I can express enough to save ahead of time I definitely will.
