How long did it take for your second degree tear to heal?

I have a second degree perineal tear and I was just wondering how long it took for you to at least feel a little better to sit on it and the swelling to go away and how long it took for yours to heal? Everyone is different but I’m just looking for some hope. It hurts :(

About a week and a half for it to completely heal but I didn’t feel like myself until about 5 weeks pp. I still have some pain with intercourse in certain positions though. Currently 9 weeks pp.

It took about three weeks. But my stitches never went away... some of them disappeared but I still had a lot left. at five weeks pp I said screw it and took them out myself lol

Midwife checked me at 6 days pp and said the stitches were almost gone and the tear was almost healed. now for the inside healing... sex felt normal again after 10-12 weeks pp.

I had the same second degree tear.  Took a week for it to feel better walking, sitting,  etc

I’m two weeks postpartum and the swelling has gone down but I’m still sore. Not sure how long it’ll take to fully heal.

I felt myself again by 8 months. But around 8-10 weeks my stitches were gone
