Abnormal period

So ever since I started getting my period (13 I’m 19 now) it’s always been light or not as heavy. Now I got my period at the beginning of this month (February) everything was the same as always and then after a week I got it again and it’s very heavy (I’m currently going through it).I went through two tampons in the span of 3 hours which never happens. I don’t know what’s happening.
