Can I say this?

My 4 week old is driving me nuts. He will not stop crying! I know he’s tired and I’ve tried everything- rocking him, walking him, sound machine, laying him down, rock n play, bouncer, over the shoulder. I love him but my heart can’t handle this non-stop crying/screaming. I feel guilty for being so frustrated. Anyone else? BTW When can babies put themselves to sleep?

Try swaddling. My baby girl is 5 weeks today and last night she was TERRIBLE. Her dad suggested swaddling and she fell asleep immediately.

Yeah I was so annoyed by my baby this morning. What a terrible thing to say I know 😂 but that’s how I felt. I’m breastfeeding and I just felt over it all in the moment. He wasn’t trying very hard and yet he was frustrated he couldn’t latch good and I was just annoyed that I was tired and he was getting milk everywhere. They are natural feelings. As long as you don’t take it out on the baby it’s okay. You can let them cry for a bit to collect yourself or get whatever you need to do like go pee lol.

Yes you can!!! I have said it myself. I got really frustrated last night just because he wouldn't go to sleep, no crying, just not going to sleep. I would just check and make sure your baby is clean and dry and not hungry...if those don't work, do you have a carrier? My carrier usually puts my little one yo sleep when nothing else will. If nothing works, there's nothing wrong with putting baby in a safe place and going to another room while you try to take a short break, even step outside for a breath of fresh air. Your baby will stop crying.

Mine cries a lotttttttttt and when I turn my blow drier on it usually helps! Or the fan to the bathroom/shower or sink being on helps!

I totally understand how you feel! My baby can have days where she just won’t stop crying, particularly at night. I started swaddling her in the brand Loves To Dream swaddle and that has been a game changer for us!

Are you breastfeeding? Sometimes pumping a bottle helps my little one to sleep since she will take the full bottle and not keep falling asleep like she does when on my breast. She will literally use my breasts as pacifiers which I allow at night but not during the day. Although my supply is crazy high at the moment haha. Is she getting enough milk? ♥️ I let my baby cry it out if she is fed, clean, and dry.

It’s human nature to get annoyed try skin to sling with a blanket over the two of you. Works wonders for us in the middle of the night when my little guy wants to fuss and have a rough night.

Your baby is going through a developmental leap at 4 weeks- download the Wonder Weeks app.  My baby just went through this also- she was extreme fussy but it’s better now!  She also went through a growth spurt and wanted to eat constantly- if you are breastfeeding, maybe offer your breast more often to comfort your baby?
