Friends with benefits issue

I have a friend w benefit and we agreed on no strings attached just friends. But we go out and we hold hands and we kiss and laugh, talk, we can go out w no sex involved just enjoying each other’s company. But I just don’t understand anything bc were only fucking but doing things a couple would do and he doesn’t want a girlfriend. He’s not necessarily leading me on because I know what I agreed to. But I don’t like that we’re doing couple things when we’re just fucking. Help lol
