5 months with implant and bleeding

Hey guys hope you can lend a hand. I got the implant in middle Sept 2018 and went back onto my pill (Yaz) in October to stop spotting. Since then I've had no spotting, normal nice periods and planned to come off the pill end of this month. Last Tuesday (9 days ago) I stated bleeding and I'm not due period till the end of the month. It's like a small period but much heavier than spotting if you get me. Ive some cramping and my stomach does feel a bit bloated which i don usually experience. I've called my clinic and I'm waiting for the doc to ring me back. I was going to stop the pill after tonight cause I also had the thought maybe I'm on too much birth control and my body don't need it and that's what's causing the problem. Or is this irregular bleeding u can get while on the implant? What yous think? Thanks💙
