Yes!!! The baby might be born a little small, or grow up to be just a little smaller. But that’s all about it that I have noticed. Definitely nothing to worry about! They probably will have more monitoring towards the end but I think that is about all
Two vessel umbilical cord worried mumma
Hi ladies, I had my 20 week morphology scan done and the midwife told me that everything was normal but then she added that I have a Two vessel umbilical cord. From my understanding there is supposed to be 3 vessels. I am just hoping there is other mummas out there that have had the same experience? I was told that we may have to monitor the baby’s growth because only having two vessels can cause a low birth weight or growth problems. If anyone has any tips on how to increase babies growth and weight please share!

I had the same thing. She was born 4lb 10oz but she is healthy. They didn’t even know I had two vessel until delivery. Try not to worry. At her first check up the pediatrician said there are risks with two vessels but it’s a low chance. The only thing was her low birthweight but I had two other reasons she was so small.
