How was it?

I'm a FTM and I had a scare last night. I was admitted to L&D for early labor. They were able to stop it and that was all well and good. The worst part of the entire process was getting my cervix checked. It SUCKED. I never in my life felt so uncomfortable. So, how was this for other women? I mean I'm sure it is better than a baby coming out but the hand was SO far inside of me I just wasn't prepared. 
How was it for you experienced mama's am I the only one?

I hated being checked with my first pregnancy. My cervix was hard to get to and it was so uncomfortable. The worst was being checked during labor before my epidural, it hurt like hell!

I didn’t think it was a big deal. Better than getting a Pap smear, I thought. When I had my membranes  stripped last pregnancy that was uncomfortable, like a 4 on pain scale. Getting my water broken while I was in transition was like a 9. Getting cervix checked was a 1-2 of pain for me. 🤷‍♀️

It didn't bother me in the least.   You'll have about 6 nurses all up in the during labor that a check isnt a big deal.

I cracked a sweat during my membrane sweep. OBGYN breaking my water hurt like a MOFO. Them checking me and paps don’t bother me. 
Glad they stop the early labor, lots of water and rest!

It depends on who is checking but once I had this nurse check and she brought me to tears. LABOR didn't even make me cry.

I’ve had mine checked 3 times so far because we have had to go to L&D 3 times in the last month. I have never experienced so much pain! My husband felt awful watching me be so uncomfortable. Having my cervix checked made me realize I want an epidural ASAP when labor starts. I’m now on watch for preterm labor. Hopefully I won’t need to be checked again until labor.

May I ask how they were able to stop early labor? I may be in a similar situation, still not sure.

It wasn’t terrible but I found it to be painful. It was nice once I had and epidural and couldn’t feel it anymore. I dread getting my yearly Pap smear too
