Depends on the doctor. It’s just a switch they flip on a regular ultrasound, my doctor does them without being asked. Some doctors charge you.

Wen my sister in law was pregnant she got 3d or even 4d every time all because she was high risk some places will give u maybe one or 2 after a few months i believe .

In a medical setting they usually only use them for high risk ultrasounds when they’re looking for something. If you want a 3d ultrasound go to an elective studio.
