Can I take a bath?

Question

I was put on pelvic rest at 7 weeks. At 13 weeks they said my hemorrhage was very small and took me off (it started off big) well everyone I know has still been hesitant about me bathing because hot water makes you bleed. I’m 16 weeks now and I am wanting a bath so so bad 
Should I wait or do you think I’m okay to take one?

Stay in warm water, nothing really hot. If you get uncomfortable get out immediately. But other than that, if your doctor says you’re off pelvic rest then you’re fine 😊

The issue with hot baths (and hot tubs or high fevers) is that raising your body temperature significantly can cause birth defects, especially in the heart. 
A warm bath should be totally fine though. I just make sure it’s warm (not hot), don’t submerge myself all the way, and make sure I don’t feel like my core temp is going up. So no sweating or feeling flushed. Otherwise, splash away!

You'll be fine, baths naturally decrease their temperature (it gets cold) which is why baths are safe and jacuzzis are not
