Birth stories after a preemie?

Question

I started preterm labor with my first (boy) at 29 weeks when we found out my cervix had shortened dramatically. I had constant contractions but was able to hold til 37 weeks!
With our second, we weren't as lucky. Preterm labor with contractions started at 25 weeks, and we were able to hold her til 32 weeks.
 Now, we are planning for our third and final baby.
Has anyone been through something similar? We really want to make it to 36 weeks this time!

Talk to the Dr about a cerclage, it might be a good option for you.

I had my last two at 36 and 37 and the doctors have me on the makena cause they fear this one may come before 35 weeks

Caitlyn i would love to hear more i sight Im going through a similar situation and I’m completely getting depressed I’m 20 weeks with a cervix shortening ... my doctor doesn’t feel in my case i need the cerclage Im seeing so many success stories I’m so worry

Talk to your doctor about P-17 injections and a cervical cerclage. I had my son at 29 weeks. I went into preterm labor at 22, 27, and 30 weeks  with my daughter but they were able to stop it and she lasted until 39+1

I had my first at 39+6. Never had issues with her though. I had my second daughter at 34+1. I’d had lots of complications and preterm labor that had to be stopped. Finally had a placental abruption that resulted in an emergency csection. I’m on baby 3 currently and I’m 35+1. I had an ultrasound yesterday and everything is looking good with him. I did have preterm labor stopped at 31 weeks but no problems since then. I have a scheduled csection at 38+6 and I can confidently say I do believe I’ll make it, or at least very close.
