My husband and I are both in the Army. He’s stationed in Alaska and I in TX. I expressed to my leadership that I wanted to go ahead and be separated from the service because we were told that we werent going to be stationed together until 3 1/2 years from now. I just found out that I’m expecting and brought this request up again since I have no family and without him I’d be alone caring for the baby, having financial issues (I was going to have a job that pays alot more in Alaska) & just all around miserable. I’m told that I would be looking at them starting the process for them to get me out next year around this time. We just dont know what to do. He has bills of his own and will apparently be providing all financial care for the baby since I cant as of now. Plane tickets from Alaska to Texas are expensive as are hotel rooms & we only get 2 leave days a month and neither of us have any since we decided to spend Christmas together...
