Taking maternity leave as a high school student

So my sons due April 6th and I plan on coming in to school once a week after his birth to take tests and than leave. I don’t feel comfortable leaving my son in daycare during the first 5-6 weeks of his life so what would I need to do to take a extended leave off? I’d just work at my house as my school is strictly online.

Every school has their own rules and regulations I would try to talk to one of the guidance counselors there and see what your options are....good luck hun

Ask your school. There should be a guidance counselor you can reach out to.

You should be able to get the first 6 weeks off after baby is born that’s what mine did
