Last night I was having a major panic attack for the second night in a row. My mom gave me one of her Ativan to relax, as this is what she has done in the past before I got pregnant occasionally because my panic attacks become so severe but rare. I’m 9 weeks today. Is this okay? Has anyone here taken Ativan while pregnant?

(I know you’re never supposed to take another person prescription and I know Ativan is not recommended for pregnancy, however the panic attack was severe enough to the point of my whole body shaking and I couldn’t catch my breath. I figured relaxed calm mom would be better for baby than that)

Please don’t judge just looking for advice.

Also I have rare panic anxiety attacks, and I can’t afford a doctor until my insurance gets approved this month. so please no judging.
