When should I start washing baby clothes I'm 24 weeks now. Will it hurt to get ahead of things?

I started from around 30 weeks.. however.. what I did notice was I hardly used most of it and wished I hadn't washed it and left tags on to return and swap for other sizes

I started at like 20 weeks because we were given a box of second hand clothes that ended up a little damp from the insanely cold weather we've been having 😂 but I'm super glad I started early because now I've got all our hand me downs sorted and out of the way so when we get more stuff at our shower I won't be doing laundry for a month straight!

I did all my washing at 31 weeks because I’m high risk for preterm. I only wash blankets, towels, wash rags, socks, bibs and NB-3m clothing. Anything bigger (that is not a hand-me-down from my okder son) I keep in tact incase I need to return or exchange.

I got a lot of second hand clothes and I washed them all and stashed them in a tub in first trimester. I'm keeping a tally of how many of each kind/size I already have so if I do get too many new clothes as gifts I can keep the tags on and set those aside.

I washed NB and 0-3mo, swaddles, bedding, etc when I was about 35 weeks with both of my pregnancies. I suggest waiting on other sizes because you don’t know how quickly your LO will grow

I’ve already started (22 weeks). We got a lot of second hand stuff for free from a good friend who was moving and then my MIL (who lives a few thousand miles away) sent us the bassinet off our baby registry and I went into full on nesting mode. Everything we have so far got washed, folded and put away, I assembled the bassinet, and went into a cleaning frenzy that lasted the whole weekend. 😂
