They made a few posts saying that they were coming.

How do you think the app creators and admins get paid to keep up the app? The admins do a great job moderating the rooms and deserve to be paid the same as anyone else...

There are ads on every single social media platform, why should this be any different?

If the ads really bother you that much, delete the app or ignore them...
