Comment anything you remember about early labor, please.

I went to the hospital a few days ago and was dialated to 1 1/2 cm. They had me hooked up to a machine for an hr and I had 4 (small) contractions but didn't feel them at all.

I've had a little cramping on and off this morning and was excited because I thought it would progress but it's pretty much stopped since then.

I don't know what to expect. I want to go into labor naturally because my doctor wants to induce me on Tuesday if things don't progress on their own.

She says she doesn't like going over 40 weeks and told me that inducing is not more painful than going naturally...which I know is not true.

Any info you ladies have on early labor would be great, thanks.
