We went in so excited to see our baby boy, it had been since 8 weeks and I was 17 weeks 1 day on the day of our ultrasound.

She started on my belly, couldn’t get a clear view so we switched to vaginal.

She wasn’t saying much. She was pointing out the blood flow, but kept going back and forth between stomach, kidney and bladder.

The heart was beating strong; we could see that. But something definitely looked off.

After 2 hours of waiting for the doctor to come and tell us what she saw, we knew something must be really wrong.

There’s zero amniotic fluid present. No fluid in his belly or his bladder. He only has 1 kidney and it isn’t functioning properly due to the lack of fluid.

I still don’t fully understand everything..

but right now I have a baby still growing inside of me with a strong heartbeat...that any day will stop.

Has anyone known of someone who’s gone through this or has experienced it themselves?

My fiancé and I are crushed. He is our first baby and although he was a surprise, we were so excited to start this journey.

We’ve named him Jameson Michael. Prayers would be so greatly appreciated.
