Alright ladies, if anyone has any help or maybe even any remedies to help me that would be amazing! I’m sorry if this is long but I was to put any info I can in to help.

33 weeks pregnant, Friday after waking up from a nap with my toddler I went to sit up and got this HORRIBLE pain in my back on the left side. Literally took my breath away all I could do was scream. It felt WAY worse than both labor and child birth with my first. After about 15 minutes and trying to get in a comfy position it calmed down but was still there. After that pain I noticed with each bathroom trip my urine was becoming more and more bloody. After a call to the on call nurse she advised me to go to the hospital to be checked out. This was my urine in the hospital, gross I know.. sorry 😖

After monitoring me and the baby for over an hour and testing the urine the nurse informed me I was having slight contractions and had a UTI. Okay, I can live with that as long as we’re okay, but in no way did it make sense to me that a UTI felt worse than labor. I’ve had kidney stones with my past pregnancy and even they weren’t this bad. Gave me a prescription for antibiotics and sent me home telling me if absolutely anything changes I need to come back.

Saturday, felt okay most of the day, no more bloody urine, just some uncomfortable pains but can’t decide if it’s normal pregnancy, just from the UTI, or something to be concerned about. Got my prescription filled and some lunch and went back home. Laid on my left side as much as my toddler would let me. He stole my blanket so I sat up and immediately got hit with the back pains again. Tried doing everything I was instructed I could do, Tylenol, even more fluids, warm bath, nothing helped. After 2 hours and some concerns over contractions I went back to the hospital. 15 minutes of being hooked on the monitors and they’re coming in to do a cervical check and thankfully I’m still closed but my contractions are pretty bad. Nurse came in a little later saying the doctor wants to monitor me for another hour, gave me a huge cup of water to drink, and just wanted to see if my contractions would die down on their own. Never doing anything or attempting to help at all for this terrible back pain I’m still having just chalking it up to the UTI and being done. They do 2 rounds of injections to stop my contractions and a bag of fluids before sending me home.

Has anyone had anything similar to this? I have a high pain tolerance and honestly this is probably the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I feel like I’ve gotten no real help when I go to the hospital and it makes me question everything.
