Sensory bags and bottles

Heather

Most of the ingredients for these can be bought at Dollar General or your local grocery store. I did buy some things at a craft store.

Basic sensory bottle:

Voss water bottles

Hand soap

Food coloring

Fine glitter

Fancy sensory bottle extras:

Mineral oil

Sea shells

Shaped glitter

Pearls or other bobbles

Glitter glue (must be mixed with hot water)

Sensory bags:

Ziplock bags (I used gallon freezer bags)

Pompoms

Hair gel (for squish)

Colorful straws

Pearls

Marbles

Duct Tape

To make a sensory bottle with hand soap fill the bottle with half soap and half water. If you would like slower movement add more soap and less water.

To add color and glitter I recommend using a glass measuring cup and a hand mixer with a whisk attachment if you want the glitter and color to mix well. Using the mixer is required if you use mineral oil.

For the sensory bags I used the hair gel with the Pompoms, water with the marbles, and the straws and pearls just dry. I duct tape the edges to seal the opening and strengthen the edges.
