Baby Shower
So im having my 3rd girl and decided i didn't want to do a baby shower for this one, a friend of my moms messaged me one Facebook and ask if she could throw me a baby shower and i politely declined and explained why i didnt want to have one and told her i wanted to do a mother's day cook out instead and would be fine with people bringing gifts for the baby to the cook out. A couple minutes later my mom called me asking why do i have to be so rude, if someone wants to throw a baby shower i should just allow her too, i explained to my mother why i dont want a baby shower, she then asked well how do you expect people to buy gifts if you don't have a baby shower and i told her i have a Walmart gift registry and if someone feels like buying a gift then they can but i dont expect anyone to do anything she still insists that im being rude and isn't happy with my decision. Does anyone else feel like im being rude for wanting to have a mother's day cook out instead of a baby shower? I just feel like celebrating with everyone and not feeling like im center of attention and figured a mother's day cook out is way better!
