Trying to conceive

I'm 17 and I'm trying to have a baby. I am graduated, live with my boyfriend, and I have a scholarship to a local college. Am I too young to be trying to have a baby? My boyfriend and I have been together 8 months. I'm really good with kids and I feel like I deserve my own. My boyfriend works in the plants so we are financially able to support a child. Should my age hold me back?
