How do you deal with tantrums ?

My daughter will be 2 in May and her tantrums are HORRIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Always having random outburst of crying for absolutely no reason.
Any suggestions?

Some kids can be talked through it and hugged and some you just have to walk away lol or maybe run away 😂

Try not to use a lot of language as the little they have gets overridden when they are in tantrum mode. Just remember that while the reaction is excessive to us it is very real to them. They are not used to experiencing or managing these feelings and so need some patience and support to learn how to. I used to find with my little one I would open my arm and offer a cuddle or sometimes if she was really far gone pick her up and move her about and the change of perspective and movement would bring her out of it. Toddlers live in the moment so when it’s over it should be over ☺️

I ignore her which pisses her off more but I give her the time to feel her emotions and then I talk her through it. She will usually sit on the floor in protest for a bit but most of the time after she’s over her emotions and is just stuck in her tantrum (not really doing anything, just wallowing I suppose) I do something to make her laugh which immediately, every single time, works. My toddler is 2.5 and I have never given her attention when she throws a tantrum.
You gotta let them get those emotions out and then you’re good

Ignore the behaviour let them have there fit on the floor. I never feel embarrassed when your out in public and they play up, I used to have sympathy from other parents when my boys had a paddy on the floor 😂 “we all been there” comments. Sometimes redirecting them helps but other times walking away the best one as they always come running “mummy wait”..

Our pediatrician told us when my son was that age just ignore it if ur at home. Just put them on floor and walk away. I would check on my son every couple minutes just to make sure he was ok, but once he realized I wasn't gonna pay attention to him while he threw one he stopped pretty quick. He now 4 and half and still throws one here and there but not as bad
