I’m 37w and just had the most painful cervix check! Holy shit I didn’t think it was going to be that bad! It felt like I was being stabbed down there, I screamed and swore it was horrible I couldn’t relax at all. I immediately broke down and started crying 😭 I feel so traumatized after that, so many women told me it wasn’t going to be that bad, I was not prepared 😭

Pre warning to those who have not had theirs yet. Prepare yourself mentally, ask the doctor to tell you to take a deep breath before going in and ask them to use a lot of lubricant and go slow! My doctor didn’t warn me and it felt like she just jammed her fingers in there dry 😭 She said I can opt out of doing future cervix checks until baby gets here 😣

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this exam go easier next time?
